All physicians must meet certain standards of competence and ethical practice to maintain their medical license and staff privileges. Board certification, for which not all qualify, and membership in certain professional organizations is further assurance of quality. But another measure of a physician's worth to his or her patients is what is often called "bedside manner". The way the patient and family are treated, not only by the physician, but also by the entire staff, is of great importance to us. For over 23 years, we have made this a top priority and we believe it has contributed greatly to the good standing in the community for which this practice is known. As the oversupply of ophthalmologists and optometrists worsens and competition intensifies, we believe care and compassion for our patients will continue to give us an edge over the competition.
